Training and Consulting Policies
|Verracy is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.NASBARegistry.org.|
|Verracy is a registered CPE sponsor that has been approved by the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy (TSBPA) and meets the requirements as outlined in the TSBPA standards in Chapter 523, of Title 22 of the Texas Administrative Code.|
In accordance with NASBA Standard No. 19. CPE documentation (electronic and paper) related to courses provided for CPE credits will be maintained for a minimum of five years in order to support compliance with standards for CPE Sponsors.
Required documentation for delivered courses.
The following documents will be maintained for a minimum of five (5) years:
- Participant names and organizations for each course
- Dates and Locations of Courses
- Instructor Names and credentials (bio)
- Number of CPE credits earned by each participant
- Copies of program evaluations from participants.
- Copies of materials used in the delivery of the course
Required documentation for developed courses.
Information to be retained by developers for a minimum of five (5) years, includes:
- Copies of program materials.
- Evidence that the program materials were developed and reviewed by qualified parties, and a record of how CPE credits were determined.
Cancellations, Transfers, and Substitutions for classes hosted by Verracy at an Independent site: A full refund less a $100 administrative fee will be given for cancellations received up to 15 days before the event. Tuition is non-refundable for cancellations made 14 days or less before the event. You may, however, transfer your tuition to another Verracy training event, less a $100 administrative fee. Transfers are valid for 12 months from the time of initial cancellation. Those who do not cancel before the event date and who do not attend are responsible for the full non-refundable, non-transferable tuition.

Cancellations, Transfers, and Substitutions for on-site classes held at customer’s site: A full refund less a $500 administrative fee will be given for cancellations received up to 21 days before the event. Tuition is non-refundable for cancellations made 20 days or less before the event. You may, however, reschedule your class to another date, less a $500 administrative fee plus all non-refundable costs already spent for instructor’s travel. Rescheduled class must be scheduled for a date within 12 months of original class scheduled date.

Verracy Training & Consulting may occasionally find it necessary to reschedule, relocate, or cancel sessions and will give registrants advance notice of such changes. Notice will be provided via the email address and/or phone number provided during registration. Verracy will not be responsible for penalties incurred as a result of non-refundable airfare purchases or hotel reservations.
Tuition covers course materials and refreshments. It does not cover travel accommodations.
Classes are conducted from 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, concluding at 3:00 pm on the last day for 3 or 4 day classes. Two-day classes conclude at 3:30 pm on the second day.
It is the policy Verracy Training & Consulting to provide a complaint resolution procedure that is timely and responsive to consumers of our services. The compliant procedure will be timely and accessible to the consumer. All employees and volunteers will welcome complaints with the understanding that our goal is satisfied customers.
Upon the receipt of a complaint the person receiving the complaint will attempt to resolve it within their role and ability. If the complaint is beyond their authority they will provide the consumer with their supervisor’s name and contact information and report the compliant to their supervisor within one business day.
The supervisor will hear the complaint and respond to the best of their ability and authority. If they are unable to satisfactorily resolve the complaint within two business days, they will bring the matter to the attention of the President.
The President, as the CEO of the organization, will respond to the consumer within two business days with objectivity and flexibility in determining the proper resolution. The decision of the President is final.
All participants are eligible to receive CPE Credits to fulfill professional accreditation requirements. Any extended absences from class may result in reduced CPEs earned.
Verracy Training and Consulting has a responsibility to ensure that all activities, materials, and delivery systems used in CPE programs are current, technically accurate, and effectively designed. Prior to publication, all Verracy courses will be reviewed by qualified persons other than the course developer, in order to assure the courses are accurate, timely, and consistent with currently accepted standards relating to the pertinent subject matter(s). All courses will be reviewed and revised, as appropriate, on an annual basis. During each review, Verracy staff will check technical accuracy, timeliness, and sufficiency to achieve the stated learning objectives. In addition, course evaluations will be reviewed after each course delivery to assess program effectiveness, and all appropriate changes will be made that are necessary to enhance program effectiveness.
Courses levels are classified as Advanced, Intermediate, Basic, Overview or Update to ensure participants attend programs that will enhance their knowledge and skill development and equate to their background and knowledge level. Included with each course description is the level for the course as well as the hours and a course content outline ensuring participants attend courses that are appropriate for each attendee.
Determination for course level adheres to the following:
Advanced. Program knowledge level most useful for individuals with mastery of the particular topic. This level focuses on the development of in-depth knowledge, a variety of skills, or a broader range of applications. Advanced level programs are often appropriate for seasoned professionals within organizations; however, they may also be beneficial for other professionals with specialized knowledge in a subject area.
Intermediate. Program knowledge level that builds on a basic program, most appropriate for CPAs with detailed knowledge in an area. Such persons are often at a mid-level within the organization, with operational and/or supervisory responsibilities.
Basic. Program knowledge level most beneficial to CPAs new to a skill or an attribute. These individuals are often at the staff or entry level in organizations, although such programs may also benefit a seasoned professional with limited exposure to the area.
Overview. Program knowledge level that provides a general review of a subject area from a broad perspective. These programs may be appropriate for professionals’ at all organizational levels.
Update. Program knowledge level that provides a general review of new developments. This level is for participants with a background in the subject area who desire to keep current.
All programs are development by individuals who are experts in the area they are developing programs. All developers have both the education and experience needed to ensure the content is relevant and accurate. Developers have various certifications, CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE, in addition to traditional university bachelor’s and master’s degrees for education. The developers and instructors have all held senior manager and Chief Audit roles in major organizations. Verracy developers and instructors maintain memberships in professional organizations such as the AICPA, IIA, ACFE, etc. to ensure they are current on all changes and updates to regulatory and legal updates and changes as well as advances in the industry. Content is developed by a subject matter expert and reviewed by qualified persons outside of the development team.

Learning activities as described in the outline are designed to achieve the established learning objectives for the participants and provide them new knowledge and skills that can be immediately applied.
